How can we help?

Getting started

1. Create your account and add a few interests, things to avoid, and your important dates.
2. Add the AutoGift extension on a computer (Chrome, Edge or Brave) and pick the stores it may learn from. Strongly recommended.
3. Approve your people: when someone invites you, choose a relationship tag (Partner, Family, Friends…) to decide what’s okay for them.
4. Invite people you gift for from Gift for others → Invite a recipient.

Where do gift ideas come from?

Once a day, AutoGift looks at product pages the recipient opened on stores they allowed, their wishlist, interests and upcoming occasions, then picks a few ideas for each gifter, within that gifter’s budget and allowed categories. New connections can take a day to show ideas.

What can gifters see?

Only gift ideas and a short reason. Never browsing, wishlists, rules, budgets or settings.

I’m on my phone

The extension works on computers. On your phone you can add things you’d like under My profile → Wishlist by pasting a product link. On Android, add AutoGift to your home screen (browser menu → Add to Home screen), and AutoGift will appear in the Share menu when you’re looking at a product.

Someone bought the same gift as me

When you buy an idea, tap I bought this. It disappears for the recipient’s other gifters so nobody doubles up.

Pausing, deleting and privacy

• Pause or remove stores: My profile → Websites, or click the AutoGift icon on that store.
• Delete your shopping data: My profile → Websites → Delete my shopping data.
• Turn off reminder emails: My profile → Account.
• Delete your account: My profile → Account → Delete my account.
